In Solitude
A Catena Rondo Inspired By A Wonderful Painting By Carl B Parker

Introduction
I saw this painting by Carl, and it spoke to me. This is where I found it:
This is my first attempt at a Catena Rodo, which you can read about here:
The poem is also Ekphrastic.
The music is "Solitude Standing" by Suzanne Vega

This felt very melancholic and introspective. I feel you've executed that form of poetry so brilliantly. Loved your poem!
There's something very charming about this painting, maybe one of the reason is because it's textured in all the right places. Thank you for sharing Carl B's painting. It's definitely amazing to look at. The joy I had when I was reading this was immense. I love following along the lines. Their simplicity allowed for a calm trip into that girls life. Exactly what I needed after a chaotic day. I really do like when you involved yourself and us the reader into the story within this ekphrastic poem. You do make this form very attractive. Outstanding Mike! π€β€οΈ
Great job, especially for this being a new form for you. I can see why you like the forms with repetition so much; it makes the poem feel very lyrical, in a way. And it's a beautiful piece of artwork that you have based the poem on.
Well done, Mike. Thanks for introducing another form I wasn't familiar with. I agree with Mark, by the way. You'd have a lot to teach young minds.
Excellent work! I am very drawn to that piece of art....the colors in the sky are hope but the ground she is on is a dark place. (I think this is my current perspective though)
Thereβs nothing like the peace between a girl and a tree. This I know for sure! Beautifully crafted, Mike βΊοΈ
We find solitude where and when ever we can. You always have a way with words. Still think you would make a great Poetry professor. Good job.
