Candlemas and St Brigid's Day, February 1st, Inspired By The Glittering Fox

Introduction
I have seen lots of posts for Imbolc, which I should have expected given the friends that I have made, but this is the first year that I have been made aware of it. I took the below information from the internet and and will use it along with a painting by my friend The Glittering Fox to create a Villanelle for Imbolc.
This is my twenty-first piece using Angie's work as inspiration, this time it is a villanelle.
This is her painting "Brigid's Flame. Imbolc and the Returning of the Light." on her Facebook page and her Etsy store.
Imbolc is a Gaelic festival that marks the beginning of spring and the end of winter. It is celebrated on or around February 1st, which is halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
It celebrates the return of light and the lengthening days of spring.
Imbolc honours the goddess Brigid, who is associated with healing, poetry, and prophecy.
Imbolc is a festival of the hearth and home, and a time to seek blessings for homes and livestock.
It is celebrated by lighting candles and fires and represents the return of warmth and the increasing power of the sun.
Making a Brigid cross from straw is a tradition of Imbolc.
Setting intentions for the year ahead is a tradition of Imbolc.
Writing poetry by the fire is a tradition of Imbolc.
Looking for signs of spring, such as snowdrops, is a tradition of Imbolc.
Imbolc is also known as Saint Brigid's Day and Candlemas.

Lovely poem Mike, I missed the day itself, but I'm welcoming spring. I saw this on Paul's list of wonderfully neglected work. It definitely deserved more attention.
This is fantastic, Mike and would be happy to include a villanelle from one of the masters of the form from Vocal in the anthology, thank you very much for sharing it and submitting it!
I had no idea about this festival until now. Thank you for sharing! Great painting too!
Thank you. I knew nothing about this festival. I set some intentions as I read you enlightening poem. I'm going to light a candle now and pick up paper & pen. β‘πβ‘
You guys have done it again. Your words and her colors go together like peanut butter and jelly.
