I Want To Feel Charged

Day 14/366 of writing and publishing a piece per day in 2024. I painted these today (I miss warm weather) and then this poem unfolded right after.

I want to feel charged, like when late spring arrives,

When nature awakens, and new life thrives.

The air is electric, with a vibrant hue,

As flowers bloom, creating the world anew.

I want to feel charged, as the sun beats bright,

Warming the earth, bringing day into night.

The days grow longer, filled with radiant light,

Inviting us all to bask in its sight.

I want to feel charged, as the breeze whispers by,

Carrying scents of blossoms, floating on high.

The fragrance of lilacs, of wisteria so sweet,

Filling the air, making my heart skip a beat.

I want to feel charged, as the birds take flight,

Their melodies soaring, bringing pure delight.

Their songs, a melody, echoing through trees,

A chorus of nature, flowing by the breeze.

I want to feel charged, as the grass grows green,

Inviting bare feet to dance in between.

The soft blades tickling, as I walk along,

Nature's embrace, a symphony in song.

I want to feel charged, as the days grow warm,

Embracing the heat, a comforting form.

The touch of the sun, kissing my skin,

Filling me with energy from deep within.

I want to feel charged, like when summer draws near,

With its promise of adventures, so crystal clear.

Beach days and picnics, laughter and fun,

A season of memories, just begun.

Late spring and early summer, a magical time,

When nature's wonders, in harmony, chime.

I want to feel charged, as the seasons unfold,

Embracing the beauty that they each hold.
