I Manifested the Goal

This is my life now,

two kids often tagging along

wherever I go.

My job is to teach, show,

nurture their young minds,

and protect from perils.

My life revolves around them,

as I try to do justice

to my role as mother,

the nurturer, and mentor.

But I had made the

above painting,

of mother and son,

years ago,

in the thick of health issues,

infertility struggles,

when art therapy,

was helping me heal.

I used to make

positive-themed paintings

like the one above,

as if I was manifesting

the current phase,

of taking neighborhood walks,

with the kids,

talking of colds,

chiding to wear jackets.

Those past struggles,

to the current fulfillment

was a journey of

of mindful decisions,

of awareness and discipline,

which I look back,

with immense pride.
