Human Life

We squander the opportunity to make the most of it

We are humans,

guided by emotions,

we do mistakes,

we feel shame and hide,

we feel guilt and fix,

we fall in love, and turn soft,

we turn monsters, if rejected

we feel envy, and feel small,

lie, argue, fly into rage,

we can even seek revenge.

Our brains seek pleasure,

temptations make us blind,

we are ensnared by the bait,

we chase name, fame,

material opulence,

we show arrogance,

and belittle others.

sometimes psychopathy too.

Short, earthling life,

could have been spent

in enjoying, exploring,

the spectacles of nature,

showing kindness,

lifting others,

and staying immortal

in their thoughts,

but, the journey goes

in juggling feelings,

often the negativities,

indulging in blame-game,

nursing frustrations,

and pampering ego.

Stress makes us irrational,

even near the final gate,

we are clueless

about the meaning of life,

we die, and story ends.
