I’m talking to Angels

Poetry about loss

By Teddie Darbro Published 3 years ago 1 min read

“I’m talking to angels”

I’m talking to angels,

about how I miss you.

They tell me to keep moving ahead,

that this journey is not through.

There is always something new,

to keep my eyes open so I don’t miss the view.

I’m talking to angels when I’m feeling blue.

There’s so much healing left to do.

I’m talking to angels,

desperate for a message from my loved ones to come through.

I can feel this grief gearing to ensue.

I’m talking to angels,

about how much I love you.

I tell them how I wish your death wasn’t true.

I just don’t know how to go on without you…

I just have to tell myself to push through.

I can barely breathe through these tears…

I just wish you were here. 💔

I’m talking to angels, as they quietly whisper, “you are loved and your loved ones are always near.”
