I’m sorry when I’m wrong

I’m sorry if I’m right

I m sorry you got hurt

I’m sorry I made you cry

But does it matter

Are you better

Is your heart unbroken

Is your pain all gone

I know to say sorry is selfish

I just really want the guilt gone

The ache in my conscience to ease off

As I convince myself, it’s okay

But does it matter

Are you better

Is your heart unbroken

Is your pain all gone

It’s okay if I hurt you

I just have to compensate you

With meaningless phrases

And guilt-ridden packages

But does it matter

Are you better

Is your heart unbroken

Is your pain all gone

fact or fiction
