It Is What I Am Doing At The Moment
Introduction
Comprising of Greg Arnold (vocals and guitar), Michael Allen (bass), Tony Floyd (drums) and Justin Brady (violin, harmonica and guitar), Things of Stone and Wood released their first album, The Yearning, in 1993. The album was greeted enthusiastically by the public and critics alike, in no small part due to Arnold's strong songwriting. "Happy Birthday Helen," taken from this album, became the first of the band's Australian hits.
I was listening to "The Yearning" and thought "I'm Listening To Things Of Stone And Wood" and thought what a great title for a poem. The album has been played three times today and may accompany me on my journey to Scotland.
There's a lot of their music on YouTube and I will include my favourite song of their's at the end of this poem.

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
