The marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse.” — Helen Keller

I don’t need

Your withering

Looks of pity.

My life isn’t

Some Shakespearean tragedy.

My life isn’t

All about drama.

I have good

Days

And bad

The same

As anybody

Don’t paint

A tragic

Picture

That isn’t my

Reality.

Don’t whisper

Disability

Like its

A dirty word

You don’t have

To skate around the

Truth

But remember

I am a person

First

The same

As you.
