"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." - Christopher Reeve
She could
Have given
Up
Given in
To the ones
Who threw
Words of sorrow
And pity at her
But that was never
Her
Not really.
She could have
Colored everything
In tragedy too
But there was beauty
Too
Even in the darkness
When the stars
Began shinning
Bathing the world
In a soft
Glow.
She could have
Saw the things
That had
Changed
Listened to
The things
Many said
She’d never
Do
Obviously
They didn’t
Really know
Her.
