I Choose Peace

An ode to my peace

I choose peace. Because disturbance is a lie I won’t try, if I let the bad thoughts pry then I will surely die.

Intrusive thoughts are the enemy, but I reject this entity out of hand.

Work of the flesh is nothing without a man.

I choose peace. Why would you not pick it if war is too much to handle?

If peace ain’t keeping me together then I’m dismantled.

No more being broken up. I’ve been broke enough.

It’s time for me to fix me. I’m picking peace and I hope the peace picks me.

No more being angry. I won’t let it change me.

The drama will decrease to a cease because I chose peace.
