Humans

As I see no match between our goals and actions

We may look and talk different,

our genetics and cultures may vary,

we may worship different gods—

but humans want the common things:

love and acceptance,

leaving a legacy, feeling secure.

We know we are mortals,

just mere passengers on a journey.

kindness to each other

is what we can offer,

but we get captivated,

by negative influences,

and harm others, and ourselves too.

We are unhappy within,

and spill that ugliness,

onto others, it's 'projection'.

We can't show anger

to relations with the upper hand,

so we show 'displacement',

and hurt the weak.

We ignore the body's signals,

falling prey to temptations,

and call cancer the beast,.

while it's a mere symptom

We follow unscrupulous people,

and dig our own ditch.

We will kill for religion,

though all scriptures,

talk of compassion.

We trade weapons

and terrorize the innocent.

We act like criminals,

and hope of heaven.

Is not it audacity?

Can we match our

goals and actions,

behave like real humans?
