Introduction
This is for Carolina Borge's "500 Reads Haiku Challenge" that you can read about here:
A real haiku can be difficult, requiring an implied season, a "cutting" word to change the direction of the poem, and a seasonal implication. Here is a definition.
The music is "Hot, Hot, Hot" by The Cure

This is such a classic, steady haikuβreally captures the shift from heat to cold with that slow, creeping inevitability. Iβm going through all the entries now, and this one felt like a quiet nod to the passage of time. Thanks for sharing it!
Love this one and I wish it was this cold. Heat index here anywhere from 105 to 109 degrees and humid.
Thank you everyone for your supportive comments and advice, another hot day today
Ah, love a season-inspired haiku. Stay hydrated in the heat!! π«Άπ½
Always drink plenty of plain water to keep yourself hydrated during these times. Loved your Haiku!
It was 90 F here, so our temps are about the same as yours today.
Loved it reporting from the heat of Florida,
The cycle , I take summer heat wave over snow . Great song pick.
Nice! I like it - simple but so telling along with the lead-in graphic.
