Pastels may shield our true colours. - Michelle Liew

She
wears
pastel shirts
clear and bright,
shield for the weary
hiding the cracks within her soul.

She
halts,
brush dropped
colours wane-
painted life not hers
a stranger in her fractured world.

Oooo, a stranger in her fractured world, I especially loved that line!
Wow, excellent job. The way you paint with your words should be studied. Love your take on the challenge glad you are trying it out.
A new challenge. Thanks BTW, This is absolutely lovely, pastels can be flattering if worn properly. They do hide flaws, kind of like black does.
Woah! This looks awesome
This is inviting and frail: I love how you paint with words!
