A Poem

Harbinger of spring

First bud of the season

Yellow flowers

Poking up through the snow

Bringing joy to all who see

A ray of sunshine

In the warming days

A splash of color

In a bland black-and-white landscape

From a depressed state

To raised spirits

Upon seeing the blooms

Little buds brightening

Everyone’s daily lives

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.

  • This was so uplifting! Loved your poem! I hope you're doing well. You don't write as much as you used too.
