Upside Down In My Head
My thoughts spill upward instead of down,
Gravity lost to memory and want.
Everything I try to steady,
Leans toward you, constant.
Sleep arrives carrying unfinished scenes,
Voices looping without rest.
I relive words I never said,
And sentences still undressed.
The world insists on staying upright,
While my inner rooms rearrange.
Ceilings become places to stand upon,
Nothing familiar remains the same.
I turn ideas until they bruise,
Searching for a balanced view.
Yet every angle returns to one truth,
The tilt begins with you.
Perhaps clarity is not a straight line,
Perhaps sense is allowed to bend.
Some loves arrive inverted,
And still know where they end.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

"Some loves arrive inverted, And still know where they end." There is a lot of truth in that.
