Introduction

All this came to me while I was in the shower this morning getting ready for my weekend in Edinburgh just to give my examples of these poetry forms with a little love and humour in my words I hope.

Hmmm... Haiku must gave 5, 7, 5 and a seasonal theme. Senryū just follow the 5, 7, 5 pattern. And sedoka is a senryū or haiku followed by another one that has a 5, 7, 7 syllable stanza?
