Green Eighteen

By Chris AB

By Legolas GreenleafPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Beautiful moss I photographed on a road trip

Green the earth, the unfolding Spring

Green the leaves, they murmur

Green with promise, Winter’s end does bring

Green shoots, grow with fervour

Green like the newborn bud

Green the grass, a perfect noon

Green everywhere, a sudden flood

Green under the sun, my birthday’s soon

Green meaning new being

Green like and an apple’s fruit

Green for the next year I’m seeing

Green as a colour sure does suit

Green for the year eighteen

Green may fade as November gives way to December

Green no more, the golden lawn

Green is still there, always remember

Green may have faded, but it’s never gone
