Gentle Sun Times

Flowers will rise

I carry every petal in the wind,

I hold it close to soul,

I know the magic came,

and passed,

I hear laughter falling

from each leaf,

raindrops melted in rainbows,

heartache taken on waves

in salty marsh, I step

looking for eyes

that are too wide,

yet shut,

that cannot see

beyond the ash.

***

I wanted to forgive,

I held butterflies

in my heart,

I knew you could still hear love,

but you turned

to moonlight

as I entered the sun.

***

How can I meet your eyes again,

where will sing our song,

a second chance

can you still rise

in gentle sun times?

***

I wish,

I glow,

I want to know,

I spend each moment waiting for your soul,

spirit shadow

looked back and on

we make our light brighter with heart

share mine

let love conquer the past.
