This is for Mikeydred’s December Prompt
Love seems faint, but never leaves.
**********************************************************************
Frosted glass mirrors
Empty halls and wilted wreaths
A carol sounds near
His song, soft as snow that drifts
She opens the door, shivering
**********************************************************************
Candlelight glows dim,
No footprints on frost’s white crust
A scarf on his chair
The one she buried with him
Love seems faint, but never leaves.

This was absolutely beautiful! Such a wonderful poem!
So poignant and beautiful, I know those overwhelming feeling so well,
The feeling of hearing his voice, calling my name, asking for something comes to my mind reading your poem. I know the emptiness when realizing that he is not there. Beautifully written Michelle, thank you.
