Forever is a long time
Forever is all time till not a second exist

Forever is a long time
How long is forever? does anyone know?
A whisper, a lifetime, or just a false show?
Is it a promise we swear in the night,
Only to fade with the first morning light?
Is it the echo of love left unsaid,
Lingering on when the passion has fled?
Or is it the bond that time cannot sever,
A love that endures, not just a forever.
Does it live in the words we choose to repeat,
A rhythm that pulses, a love so sweet?
Or is it the silence between every kiss,
The quiet assurance that all is bliss?
How long is forever, in truth or in dream?
A place where love flows, a timeless stream?
Or is it just fleeting, a whispered belief,
A phrase to disguise the heart’s quiet grief?
Is it the moments we try to hold tight,
Captured in memory, fading from sight?
Or is it the distance that keeps us apart,
Yet forever resides deep in the heart?
How long does forever stretch out its hand,
Guiding us softly across shifting sand?
Is it the promise of something unknown,
A road that is walked, yet we walk it alone?
Is forever a notion too heavy to bear,
A weight that is carried with endless despair?
Or is it the hope that we’ll always remain,
Even when life is nothing but pain?
How long is forever? Does anyone know?
A question unanswered as time moves slow.
Maybe forever is just what we say,
To hold on to love, when it fades away.

Love this. I like the last two lines... Sad but true...
What great life questions posed to us through this poem. Are there answers to these questions though? Only the Lord knows for sure. Good job.
"Maybe forever is just what we say, To hold on to love, when it fades away." CRYING - that's just so touching and beautiful. I feel every. single. word. of that.
Love this poem.
Beautiful poetic reflection, well-crafted, written with deep emotion. I always hope.
