Stop all time, I want this moment,
Just us, skin to skin,
No ticking clocks, no breaking dawn,
Only now, only us.
Love, stronger than the ocean’s storm,
Waves crash, but we stand unshaken.
The world may twist, the skies may fall,
But nothing drowns what we’ve awakened.
Hold me tighter, let this night carry on,
Let fate forget our names.
No past, no future, only this, only us.
Only love that never shall die.
Let breath melt into breath,
Let fire burn slow and deep.
No space between, no ending line,
Just love that time can’t keep.
Let moonlight seal us in its glow,
Let shadows bow and break.
No force can steal this moment now,
even time’s embrace would not Know how

My poetry collection Beautiful and Brutal Things is done. It's actually done and finally published over 270 pages. Over a year of my life went into this book. More than a year, really. Long days at my computer, sometimes seven days a week because I couldn't stop even when I probably should have. Then two months of editing that felt harder than the writing itself. But it's finished, and I'm still standing, and the book is real.
