Forbidden Love
In Places Where Love Is a Crime
We found each other in hidden streets,
where shadows listen and silence keeps.
Not by hand, nor by kiss, nor name,
but by glances that burn without shame.
Walls wore eyes, the air grew thin,
fear crept cold beneath our skin.
Yet still, I met you where hearts collide,
in the corners where truth dares hide.
No banners waved for what we feel,
no laws gave place for something real.
They call it wrong, they call it wild,
but I am no traitor, no wayward child.
Behind closed doors, we laughed aloud,
stolen hours beneath the cloud.
No promise safe, no vow could stay,
but love was ours, though far away.
Would I trade this fight for peace?
Or let this stubborn longing cease?
No. I will carry your name in thought,
in every war that hearts have fought.
If loving you breaks all their laws,
then call me guilty without pause.
For what is life, if not the fire,
of hearts that rise beyond their pyres?

Love finds a way in all or many ways for whomever. Good job.
Love knows no barriers as you proved, thankyou for sharing
Bold, tender, and beautifully defiant. You captured the ache of forbidden love with such lyrical strength—it lingers like a whispered promise in a world that never listened.
