Footprints In The Sand

You Never Walk Alone

By Earl W. PearlPublished a day ago 1 min read

There’s something Lord I noticed, looking back upon my life

I noticed it the most when I was struggling with strife

A double set of footprints in the sand went on for miles

But how come only mine were there throughout so many trials

Our double tracks were comforting when everything was fine

So tell me Lord the reason, in my trials there’s only mine

“My child, He said, there’s something that you need to understand

There’s reasons for that single set of footprints in the sand

When you suffered with depression, that thing you never knew

Those times you needed Me the most, is when I carried you”
