An early morning in late November,
Sees the sun cast sparkles across the ground.
Hinting at the world's upcoming slumber,
Slipping in while we all were sleeping sound.
The icy crystals coat the window pane,
Inviting small fingers to leave their mark.
And scrappers pulled out of cars down the lane,
To clear away the glaze, left in the dark.
This will melt away when the sun rises -
But we all know what this arrival means.
For Mother Nature keeps her promises,
and this one will be coming due it seems.
The chilly Northern wind is now blowing,
And you just know: soon it will be snowing.

You can predict snow is coming from the chilly wind so true
You really painted a picture! Very nice
Scrapers pulled out of cars reminds me of former winters in the northern midwest. That first frost is magical. Lovely poem and reminder of the change of season that will soon be upon us. Excellent entry to the challenge, Kelsey!
