Take Me Home
You Can Take The Girl Out Of The Country...

No matter how long I live in the city,
Every so often I have to return
to where the lights do not block the stars from sight,
and birds are heard more often than sirens.
To where I can taste the salt on the sea air,
and smell something other than fumes.
No matter how long I live in the city,
sometimes I just need to return to a place that always feels like home.

This hits so right—city life is cool, but nothing beats that salty air and starry skies. Home vibes forever!🤗✨
Wow... this simply carries you away. It's like magic or a spell. Splendid work.
Your root is your root, nothing can take its place.
Lovely words, I felt your love to get back to home.
Home is where the heart is. It must be nice to live in the countryside. How far from the city is home? This is a very engaging poem.
Well, this resonated with me, Kelsey, especially the longing for the sea.
This felt sooo blissful. Loved your poem so much!
I definitely relate! Lovely poem.
Oh, this beautiful poem made me homesick.
