I am entirely late to this party and will be catching up over next few days with your recent wins. This was sublime and deserves that win. Everything I love about haikus is incit. Not saying too much but enough that are minds so the rest. Congrats sir on a magnificent win. Truly deserved
I'm always amazed that really good haikus can capture such emotion in so few words. This is one of those. I love the way "...terminal descent..." feels. I also want you to give credit for the photo. It's such a great accent to the feeling of the poem. Such a well-deserved win.
