Felt

I as in it

i though i might

not be so much

of a cunt today

even if it’s just

to cross off

  • DO SOMETHNG NEW TODAY

from my to do list

but

it felt good

instead of moaning

i thought i’d smile

i practised in the mirror

until i twisted that visage

so it resembled anything less

than the usual leery sneer

it felt good

instead of yelling derision

and condescending

i offered simple words

of approval and acceptance

i veritably cooed

a smooth groove

it felt good

i thought maybe

instead of letting

my rage hunch me

i could let my body

resonate with the planet

that pulses beneath my feet

i took my shoes and socks off

and walked on the lawn

it felt good

instead of being angry

i stopped to smell the roses

instead of being mad

i altered both my perspective and my view

instead of being crazy

i solved problems in my mind

instead of being sad

i thought of things that made me smile

instead of being that me

every single day

i choose not to

it feels good

inspirational

I agree with Heather, I'd buy the shit out of your book. I love the excerpt from your to do list 😁

I would buy a book of your work!! It always speaks to me. I loved this. I need to try feeling a bit more. Sometimes it's too tiring though.
