Feelings Converge: A Sudden Surge, a Forming Path, a Tangled Thread

Instructions for a Feeling

Feelings flash like lightning,

mixing,

like a kaleidoscope's colours.

First one appears

for a time,

warming its space,

eating, drinking, and chatting,

enjoying the comforts of the place.

Then another one arrives

starts chatting, fits right in.

The first one feels uneasy

shifts in their chair,

adjusts their hat, sips tea.

The second one takes control,

busking in this game,

twisting the world's order.

Pushing the first one out, and then,

when the first finally departs,

the second's feeling reigns supreme.

Once the third one arrives,

doing the same routine:

eating, drinking, and chatting,

trying to act

like it's the most

relevant, making itself at home.

As a result,

the second one feels left out.

Fidgeting in its chair,

adjusting their hat, taking a coffee sip,

and finally,

preparing to depart.

The cycle repeats,

precisely as before,

like a boomerang's path or a body clock,

appearing and disappearing the same.

Occasionally, the pattern breaks

because of unforeseen events.

Each emotion then evolves

building upon the last.

Sometimes,

new ways of feeling emerge -

a collaborative performance

in this shadow play,

always at my heels.
