A Siren's First Song

By SPPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Sea glass eyes framed by gold fire

A Siren's song tempting me to swim

There is nothing quite like the desire

Of her tracing devotions into my skin

Revealing secrets inked with red

Swallowing her curiosity as I speak

You deadly creature you, I beg

Be gentle when you sing me to sleep

Affections burn bruises on lips

I knowingly gift her my breath

Just so a Siren can surface and glimpse

What it means to not be kept

Haunted by chasing thoughts

Only to be reminded in her dreams

Seductress when chaos is taught

Silence when tortured for a scream

Crushed bones and sailors lore

Who is the monster here, I wonder

The Siren? Or rather, more

The people who pushed her under

Unawares of her own allure

A myth Resurfaces to find

A relief from a demanded nature

Where I claim her as mine

Two green eyes of storms

Two dark birds of a feather

When the Siren finds her final form

The Lovers will drown together
