Farewell To Sanity

Choice, An Illusion Of The Lonely

It began with a smile,

with little attention to the connection -

it somehow made it worthwhile.

A skip in my step - just a glance - set a feeling in motion-

a moment fleeting - no withdrawals or exchanges.

A simple, slight brush of flesh in passing -

no longing or expectations,

such a tender expression-

in a new direction.

No fear of rejection, just reflection

as I watch myself dive in.

Deep into a notion,

a magical potion.

Covers me like a lotion,

thoroughly, in repetition.

Sets me free-

no competition.

A tingle trickles,

a direct line down my back,

I'm not looking back.

Bags are packed-

It's not adventure I lack.

Just patience.

Great work! I really liked the rhythm to this piece. It kept the intensity building and building.
