A new day calls,

full of endless possibilities,

People to see,

Joy to feel.

-

Yet when confronted,

by the people I see,

I find myself frozen, unable,

to experience the joy, I so yearn to feel.

-

There is no rhyme nor reason,

no problem diagnosed,

yet, internally I cry out,

wanting to feel.

-

This face that I wear,

to get through the day,

has no room for joy

no emotions to share.

-

To all the people,

I so desperately want to see,

please be patient with me,

I still want to feel.

-

Maybe one day,

the face that is me,

will dust itself off,

and return to being me.
