an acrostic poem
Everyone’s committed to the sky, but I’m
Completely tied up by your eyes.
Little do the calendar and world know, I’ve found my own celestial event in you. Your
Irises are sunshine, obstructed only by two
Perfect apertures—black moons. I want to celebrate
Soleil all day with you—this sweet soirée; this cosmic rendezvous.
Everyone is staring at the sky but I—I’m starstruck by your eyes of sun & moon.
