Death do parts us, my love

Everlasting sorrow invades me

Without you this shell of a heart is empty

Never again shall I hear you call me mourning dove

Why, my love, were you taken by death?

It was I who lost all breath

Drowning in the black water

My heart now a burning piece of amber

I can no longer hear your loving voice

From the fiery depths of hell

Why can it not be my choice

To stop the withering of this bluebell?

Your death will never seem so long ago

In the days of my everlasting sorrow
