Embracing the Shadows
A Poetic Reflection on Loneliness
Loneliness wraps around me like a shroud,
A quiet room where shadows are proud.
Echoes of footsteps that never tread,
Silence fills the space where words are said.
In the mirror’s gaze, I search for a friend,
Faces in crowds, yet solitude won’t end.
The night stretches long, an endless sea,
Where dreams of connection are lost to me.
Loneliness, a whisper in the dark,
A hollow ache where warmth should spark.
In the heart’s deep chambers, I find,
A longing for souls intertwined.
Yet in this solitude, I find my space,
A canvas for thoughts, a quiet grace.
Loneliness, though heavy, carves a way,
For self-reflection, where shadows play.
As I journey through this silent night,
I seek the dawn, a distant light.
Loneliness may linger, but with each new day,
I learn to chase its shadows away.
