stop. pause.
indulge in this bulging pause between us
let our breath meet, your
eyes rest
naked on mine, our
corneas
embrace

Very cleverly done ✅
Lovely acrostic!😊
Corneas embracing = hot! Love it.😄 You always choose the funny words.
I like how a moment so tender is made more real by the use of words like "bulging" (smart rhyme with indulging) and "corneas" instead of eyes. It makes it more visceral! The title reminds me of Drumroll, Please from HIMYM- all about this exact moment:)
This is so sweet
Brilliantly written and loved it!!!💕❤️❤️
This is beautiful. Well done.
Oooooooooooooooooooooh damn. poeming hard again, as ever LC. When you poem, you poem hard. I also love the "bulging pause" because, titter titter, I am a child. This was exceptionally well done.
Oooo! That calm before the storm... of emotions! Very well done LC!
Surprisingly visceral evocation of the stare born of desire, LC. So intense I’m tempted to flinch.
Oooo, our corneas embrace, I especially loved that!
I kind of lost the flow at corneas - somehow it got TOO visceral! My brain, it appears, can't help but take the final image literally.
That was an awesome poem, abuzz with sensuous intentions.
“Corneas embrace” reminded me of an intimacy exercise where two people in a close relationship gaze into each other’s eyes for 4 minutes straight.
naked on mine... Liked that line.
