This acrostic poem, Double Fisted, is written as my entry in Heather Hubler's 'Unscramble' Challenge. I found this prompt so inspired and inspiring, I ran with the 12-letter word 'ambidextrous.'

--

Able bodies bend and twist

Mindful that they must resist

Biting more than mouths can chew

In fear of living fat as ewe

Defined by little else than weight

Expecting fools to ruminate

Xyster used to carve to bone

Taking to the porcelain thrown

Reclaim your self, two able hands

Open mouths, lest ye be damned

Usurp the judge who keeps you down

Sup with both hands, take back your crown

--

Gluttonous sin -- a taste for lust?

Heaven is ambidextrous!

Lol, so much to love here!! The double meanings, the acrostic, the subtleties, all blended so well together. Wonderful work, Christy!!

You had me at the title!

  • Whoaaaa, not only did you write an acrostic where each line starts with an unscrambled word but you made it rhyme too! So well done! Also, not me thinking of inappropriate when I saw double fisted 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm never going to top that. I love it that you decided to ramp up the difficulty of an already difficult challenge with a 12 letter word acrostic. AND IT FLOWS! Good grief!

  • Love the Acrostic, wonderful poem, great work
