Tunnel vision straight ahead, my focus pinpoint on the lab tech.

A sour taste in my mouth as bile tries to rise.

Ears fill with a swooshing sound, matching the beat of my heart.

Hands shaky against cool vinyl, moistening insanely fast.

Suddenly, an alcohol swab beneath my nose to clear my swimming head.
