Do You Remember?

I Remember You

Remember the cold winter air as we walked together on the bridge?

Remember the laughter we shared when you took me for a drink at your favorite pub?

And I remember after that, the snow was falling as we walked to your place.

Remember the kiss we shared as we walked on the same bridge, we met five years before?

I remember our bodies wrapped together in soft sheets as we laid by the fireplace.

I remember the smell of your cologne as you wrapped me in your arms.

I smelled of roses and wine while you smelled of whiskey and pine.

I remember the taste of your lips.

I remember the touch of your masculine body.

Do you remember the touch of my soft skin?

Do you remember the taste of my lips?

And the view of Big Ben as we shared a cup of tea the next morning?

Do you remember what you promised me?

I do,

You promised to come home.

You promised another night.

Remember the kiss we shared before you left?

I do,

That was our last kiss.

Remember our last fight?

Remember our last laugh?

I'll always remember our last night, will you?

I remember the call that made my heart shatter.

I remember you didn't come home.

Did you remember my smile?

Was I the last thing on your mind?

I'll never know the answer.

Do you remember me?

Because I remember you.
