How could you
Ever look me
In the eye after
All the times you
Guilt tripped me into
Feeling bad about
The way I hurt when
You could never
Feel remorse for
The way you injured me?
❀
How can you stand yourself
When you paint your skin
In pity but can’t find
Any empathy for others?
❀
How can you claim
To be a good person when
You make it your personal mission
To convince all the selfless ones
They're monsters?
❀
Does projecting your flaws
Really satisfy you?
Does devouring people’s
Confidence really make you
Feel less insecure?
Does telling lies really
Make them more believable to you?
❀
Does pushing someone
Off the edge of a cliff
Really provide a pretty view?
❀
I’ll let you know a secret
Apologising for my mistakes
Has always helped me
Sleep easier
(You should try it sometime)
❀❀❀❀❀

'Does pushing someone, Off the edge of a cliff, Really provide a pretty view?' was a beautiful and stunning line! Brilliantly written Poppy!
Does pushing someone of a cliff provide a pretty view. That was so deep! And your last line was so powerful!
Written with experience, this words ring true. Beautiful said Poppy. And the art on these pieces is amazing.
Bold facts ,& fictions!!! Feels more truth than dare!!! 💕❤️❤️
Through all of these I have found myself wondering, Poppy, is the woman in the pictures the narcissist or the victim? One Editorial Note: Third stanza, final line: "Their monsters?" I'm guessing that you mean "They're monsters?"
Awesome 👍 😉❤️👌💯📝
I need to read the rest of this series😍
