Creative Tug-Of-War

My artistic mind is in a tug-of-war,

What creativity will be spilling out of my core?

What will breathe vibrant images that will soar?

My eye’s movie theater fills with only one vision,

A roulette wheel that spins; I wait for a decision,

Watercolor?

iPad Drawing?

Invitation designing?

Writing?

Crafting?

Pattern designing?

**

No, no, there is no time to play.

My art is already out there on display.

Time must be spent well; I cannot delay.

As a writer and artist, there is only one thing to do

if I hope to collect some views.

And do it well.

For I have something to share and tell.

Flipbook,

Twitter--I mean X,

Facebook.

Repeat,

Repeat,

Repeat,

Until I feel tired and beat.

My brain is fried, but my promoting quota is now complete.

Sweet creative juices are now dried;

There is nothing left inside.

All spent on getting the word out there,

To check out my artwork that I have shared.

I wanted to write this poem as I seem to go through moments where my attention should be today every day. Not only do I write as much as I can, but I also post all of my artwork on print-on-demand shops, Zazzle.com being the one I have had the most success with, and Spoonflower for pattern design. It's a tricky balance that, at times, one of my creative endeavors will capture my attention, hence why some of you may have noticed that I have been absent from Vocal Media for a few months. I want to work on finding a happy balance to see if I can do it all. We will see how that works out.
