Song/Poem

By Sam Mosley Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Can’t wait to get away

I isolate for weeks.

I saw that you were smiling’

Even though you felt like dyin’

Got caught up in the waves

And crashed up on the beach

You knew if I was lying

If I said I didn’t miss you.

All these confrontations

From these conversations

I will span this distance

Just like paint fills canvas

Waiting for the rain

Wasted on the ground

Isolated showers

Evaporated from the mouth

My course was understood

Laid out like a tan

You knew if I was lying

If I said I didn’t love you.

You’re a constellation

Burning complications

I will span this distance

Just like paint fills canvas

love poems
