Passing Notes

Poem/Song

By Sam Mosley Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Eyes tell a tale

I don’t want you to leave

The fragrance of your skin

Has hypnotized me

Dreams have changed just like the leaves

Attached to my roots

We grow like a tree

I slipped you a note

As your eyes said you’d read it soon.

Let’s cut this cake

I would give up my life for you.

Eyes looked away

Yet, still can see

The fragments of my thoughts

Recaptured in dreams

Seasons changing, swift like a breeze

Attached to my lips

As the sun kissed the beach
