You try your best to be unusual
Anything to catch his eye.
Change your make-up and your clothing,
And you can’t tell me why…
If you got him, what would you do?
When you’ve lost yourself to please him?
Is that the life you want to live
Bowing down to every whim?
Search a little harder Girl,
Find a way to feed your soul.
Finding love could be the answer,
But it shouldn’t be the goal.
There’s no path to freedom,
If you just live a lie.
What’s the point in living?
If your spirit cannot fly?
Show the world your colors
Let your spirit free.
How can you be happy?
When a cage is all you see?
