Boardwalks of Life

A poem about life

By Rasma RaistersPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Make life your oyster,

a shining pearl with every memory.

Take the time to smell the roses

and dance in the rain.

Rejoice, leading your own parade –

along the boardwalks of life.

No matter where you are.

know there is a friend nearby,

hear those drums sound,

with each beat of your heart,

cherish every smile along the way –

as you parade down the boardwalks of life.

I still remember you,

when life was so good,

love came to stay,

smiles along the way,

rainbows across the skies,

followed by happy bird cries.

Scented roses on the vine,

dripping with the morning dew,

each day something new,

as together we danced –

along the boardwalks of life.

When all was said and done,

when I found myself alone,

the memories of you always shine,

remembering the many kisses we shared,

love was ever so grand,

now I walk knowing you’re beside me,

in my dreams I see,

the pathway I’ll have to follow,

on the day you call me to your side,

proudly we’ll walk the boardwalks of life –

into eternity.
