Bluebirds Fly
A poem on manifestation
Today is National Aviation Day and the birthday of the inventor of the airplane, Orville Wright.
The day marks the spirit of thinking outside the box and exploration, and of letting our dreams take flight. As a kid, I remember always wanting the window seat whenever I was on board a big metal bird.
We can’t just sit and wait for them to take off; dreams or any goal takes determination, ceaselessness, focus, and adaptability.
It's easier said than done, so we’ll let the hummingbird do so first. But we’ll take its cue. Enjoy this butterfly cinquain, which I thought was appropriate for Orville and the airplane.
Bluebird
Traversing clouds
Wings push to spotted tree
Flying, ceaseless, to sturdy bough
Eyeing
Form calm
Blue wings bending with howling winds
Sharp, yellow beak upturned
Knows where to turn
Bough reached.
