Is it just because I am old

that I am so cold?

No, I just ate ice cream.

I feel like I am in a dream.

****

I eat my malt while sitting by the fire.

It is not that cold right now, it is not dire.

Minnesota is still freezing

It is coldest when the wind is blowing.

****

A friend died and his memorial was today.

He started drinking just the other day.

Some people can not drink or they die.

We don't all make it, no one knows why.

****

The pandemic has made it tough.

No sun can be rough.

Sunlight for me,

and plenty of vitamin D.

****

Today, I dropped a few tears.

I have known him for just over ten years.

I know about depression.

Rather than drink, I went for a session
