I’ll write poems for you
forever.
Every piece of me
-is tethered to-
the dream of you,
.:Sunbeam:.
We are meant to be
together.
Read my letters in
the cradle of
{{the crescent-moon}},
shoot Cupid-arrows at
my pesky,
winterblues—let
our soultie sip
✨apricity.✨
Come February, Sweet Pea—
bloom for me.

Such a beautiful and heartfelt expression of love!
Back to say congratulations, Gina!! Very glad to see your name and this piece in a top spot on the podium!
Wow, Gina, just wow. From the first line, this poem took me in and didn't let go. Very well-deserved placement.
Such a gorgeous poem, Gina. "Read my letters in the cradle of the crescent moon" Wow, just wow! Congratulations on your win!
I think my favorite line is "Read my letters in the cradle of {{the crescent-moon}}" It evokes a lovely sense of peace and comfort. Beautifully written!
Awww this is so good, Gina. So bittersweet, and I think that's why it placed. (I feel it is first place material, personally, but I'm slowly realizing something about second-placers on Vocal... :D) I learned "apricity" again today. I always forget what it means! Such a perfectly specific word and it fits perfectly in this piece, of course. I love how you tie it to "sunbeam" and winter blues. I love that the more I read this poem, the less I'm sure about my own interpretation. I can read it as being about a mother to a lost baby, a mother to a born child, or a couple in love. My first inclination is the mother to a lost baby, but that February line is messing me up, lol. In any case, I'm so excited you placed, Gina! Congratulations!
Congratulations This had to be in the winners circle I see the beauty and talent That final lines of love and spring is a nice touch
