I remember the day before I left the gym,
I asked three young ladies about what they find comfort in.
"Is it a place, a person, or something?
Do you find it in yourself as someone or another being?"
The first two said, "Well, I like my cat."
"And I like my bed and a cup of tea at that."
"I've heard those before, like records on repeat.
If I may ask do you have something a bit more unique?"
"Well," one started, she turned to me about,
"I find comfort in my friend." "Especially when you workout?"
We all laughed, and I do enjoy their smiles
I moved on, I finished stretching, but knew they'd be a while
So, as I went to go and leave
the girl at the desk, I asked my question with a please
"Comfort, do you find it in someone, something, or somewhere?
Comfort, where is it? Is it part of daily care?"
She looked at me inquisitive
Her thoughts were more than formative
She opened up her mouth, she did
This is what she said, candid
"I don't know, I've never been asked that before."
"You don't know? May you give me something more?"
This was all that I could take
as her answer was not fake
Yet, my curiosity's ferocity wasn't quenched with what she gave
I pondered as she pondered, and took note of how she behaved
"Well, I understand if you don't have an answer this time.
How about I ask you later, and see what you can find?"
She nodded her head with glee and smiled so happily.
It was like a game, a little dance. We would get a second chance.
A few days later at the gym, where I ran and sped
Before I left I asked her a question, and this is what she said
"Well, I got nothing. Nothing seems to come to mind.
I got nothing. I'm sorry, an answer I couldn't find."
"The answer," I smile with my head, "I think you gave me one.
The answer," I said, "yes, with that answer I shall run."
Yes, the answer she gave me, pure and simple. I'm not bluffing
The answer she told me was simple. "It was nothing."
This was an answer that was simpler than a k.i.s.s.
This was an answer that was simply all about one's bliss
Nothing: to allow the world to go by
Sweet nothing: to take it all in and out as it flies
Whether it's to zone out and to travel to another world
Or to zone in, and carefully observe
Nothing: the poor have and the rick lack
Sweet Nothing: from the beginning to around and back
Nothing: no turmoils or concerns
Sweet Nothing: the hardest simple concept, to educate and learn
