if you feel sad
close your eyes
say goodbye
to this world
blink
open them
and see the world unveiled
shiny
recreated
moment by moment
new
and you
are new
too
blink
yesterday's sludge falls away
heavy like a wedding train
if you let it
so unclip it
feel it drop
feel how light you are without it
go ahead and spin
giddy
that laughter
is yours
sprinkling stars across the galaxy
from a brand new throat
blink
tomorrow is light as a feather
and how wonderful it is
that you are here
in this sparkling moment
blink
the now:
an ever-present
seed of palpable joy
it's yours
now
which means
always
and if you forget
just
blink

Where's the Glory?
In breaking news, rehabilitated Republican Senator Johnnie Johnson (Pronouns: HE, HIM, HIS) called a press conference from the Men’s room of the New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport, Concourse B, across from the Ignatius Reilly’s Lucky Dog stand. The Senator had just returned from a sexual reorientation rehabilitation program in Memphis, TN after being publically disgraced at a Buckee’s Truckstop restroom soliciting sex from an undercover cop three months ago. He is a founding member of the Reformed Christians for Christ, a conservative, pro-family and ex-gay advocacy group. In the spirit of being reborn, Senator Johnson invited reporters to marvel at his plans for a major remodeling of airport bathrooms.

I am having troubles with this challenge and hoped yours would inspire. This is so unlike the LC we’ve come to know and love, is it satirical, a mockery or is there a happy person in there hiding behind wit and tormented twists. I really enjoyed this
I kept waiting for the speedy pickpocket, the stab in the back, or other twisted Schafer shenanigan. Joke's on me, the real twist was SINCERITY all through.
